Imagine having a terminally ill child that requires thousands in out of pocket medical care.
Unfortunately this is a reality for many families throughout the Coulee Region and country.
A group of bikers rode into La Crosse today on a mission to help those families.
The riders represented the Ace Hardware Foundation.
They rode to Gundersen Lutheran Hospital where a check for $5,000 was presented to the Children's Miracle Network.
Two children that have been helped by the Network were there to receive the check.
Joe Furlane with Ace Hardware Corporation says, "Just having a young son of my own, it means a ton more to me to be able to help kids. Luckaly my son is perfectly health, doesn't have any problems. To see what these parents are going through, I coudn't even imagine being able to do it without the help of things like the Children's Miricle Network."
The bikers are heading back to the Chicago area to finish up the nearly 700 mile ride.
They will be stopping by more Ace Hardware stores to countinure their fundraising efforts.
