Speaking of vaccines, now is the time to get your child their required immunizations before the start of school.
The La Crosse County Health Department will be holding a couple of immunization clinics coming up. They're trying to get as many kids as possible immunized before the start of classes.
"For school age children, the state requires that they have the TDAP at certain ages, they can start having TDAP at the age of 10. They also require that they have the two chicken pox vaccines depending on what age they are," said Bryany Weigel, La Crosse County Public Health Nurse.
The first Vaccine Clinic is set for Tuesday, August 11, from 3 until 7 at West Salem Elementary School.
The second is Tuesday, August 18th, also from 3 until 7 at St Elizabeth Catholic Church in Holmen.
You can also call the La Crosse County Health Department to set up an appointment for immunizations at 785-9723.
