A Bangor girl is being recognized for her creativity in raising awareness of missing children and bringing them home safely.
Kassidy Wuensch is a fifth grade student at Bangor Elementary School.
Her class participated in a National Missing Children's Day poster contest in which they created artwork that represents America's efforts in finding missing kids.
Wuensch's drawing was chosen as this year's winner of the statewide contest in Wisconsin. She says she put a lot of thought into her artwork. Kassidy says, "I drew the world in our hand and the hand on her shirt because the world is pretty much in our hands for taking care of these children that are missing. And Amber Alert is something that helps us with that."
Wuensch's poster will be displayed in the State Capitol. Thursday, she'll be presented with an award by Wisconsin Attorney General J-B Van Hollen.
