Ollie is a 4—5 year old neutered male who is front declawed. This handsome, large boy arrived as a stray, originally found in Holmen back in the middle of October. Ollie is a great boy! He is friendly, inquisitive, laid back, and he loves to cuddle. He is a large boy who can stand to loose a few pounds. Knowing this, he really needs someone who is willing to help him do this so that the excess weight does not take a toll on his health...overweight animals face some of the same concerns humans do that are obese. Losing weight may very well prolong Ollie's life! Ollie's gorgeous, medium hair coat will require some extra attention. Medium to long haired cats tend to encounter more matting than short haired cats. To maintain his coat and avoid grooming costs (unless of course you would prefer to use a groomer), it will be important for Ollie to be brushed at least weekly. Mattes can become very painful to cats if they are not addressed. A simple cat comb or brush should be sufficient to address his coat. Ollie is a nice choice for homes that currently have cats or are looking to add cats in the future...it may even help with his weight issue that is to have a buddy to play with. He also may not mind sharing his home with dogs, they of course need to be respectful of Ollie. If Ollie will be sharing his life with children, we do recommend that Ollie's family consist of children approximately 10 years of age and older.
