Two suspects have been arrested in connection to six burglaries in Onalaska.

Onalaska Police say the suspects were arrested Thursday afternoon. Their names have not been released.

Working with the La Crosse Police Department, Onalaska Police identified the suspects, which led to a traffic stop. One suspect, the passenger in the vehicle, was arrested on a probation violation warrant. The driver was also arrested in connection to the burglaries. One other person was arrested on unrelated charges.

"This is an example of good police work and good team work," says Onalaska Police Chief Jeffrey Trotnic. "I can't comment on the process in any greater detail as this is still an ongoing investigation, but I will say that both the investigators and patrol did an excellent job."

The Onalaska Police Department had recently stepped up patrols in business areas in response to the burglaries.
