Pet of the Week - "Toby"

Toby is a 1 year old Harrier Beagle.  He is current with his vaccinations and weighs in at about 35 pounds, making him a nice choice for adopters with weight restrictions for pets.  This young man has been crate trained in his previous home and reportedly did very well with this.  Crate training is a very safe training tool to help housebreak your dog as well as keep him/her safe and out of trouble while you are away.  Many dogs come to view their crate as a safe place to escape to when needed, too.  Toby should do well sharing his home with other dogs and cats.  Toby has already visited Pet ME Scratch Me Dog Daycare and had a blast so continuing daycare for him as a means of socializing with other dogs and expending some of his energy might be a great idea!!  Toby can certainly share his home with children.  Though we feel children above the age of 8 might be the best match for this little man.  Toby is young and energetic and still has many endearing qualities that only a puppy has.  With that said, Toby is still learning that not everyone enjoys him jumping up and giving sloppy, wet kisses and is looking for a companion who will not only love and care for him, but who is willing to help him learn.  His loveable and silly personality is sure to bring a smile to you daily.
