WKBT La Crosse, WI-NewsChannel 8-Bank of America charging some customers for paying off their monthly balance

Do you pay off your credit card every month? That good habit could cost you.
Earlier this month, Bank of America notified its customers they'll be charged a new annual fee of 29 to 99 dollars for paying off their balance.
Card holders can either pay the fee or close the account.
The banks are starting to charge fees to customers in response to new credit card industry regulations that'll limit when they can hike interest rates.
Bank of America says they're testing the fee on a small number of accounts and haven't made any final decisions.
