Eau Claire bar plans charity Favre memorabilia burn

Posted: Updated:

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP) -- Halftime entertainment at a western Wisconsin sports bar and grill during the upcoming Green Bay Packers-Minnesota Vikings game involves a flaming burn barrel and Brett Favre gear.

The Milwaukee Burger Co. says patrons can bring in their Favre jerseys, pictures, posters and memorabilia and toss them into the barrel. The bar plans to donate $10 to an unspecified charity for each piece burned.

Manager Julie Kolk says the bar and grill is filled with about equal numbers of Vikings and Packers fans on any Sunday during football season.

Kolk says Vikings fans probably won't have a problem with burning Favre's Green Bay jerseys and other gear.

The Packers-Vikings game is Monday, Oct. 5 at Minneapolis.
