A confirmed tornado in Crawford County Monday causes an estimated $250,000 in damage.
According to Crawford County Emergency Management, the tornadoes touched down in the area of County Highway C between State Highways 27 and 131.
Trained spotters reported a funnel cloud and debris in the air and an eventual tornado touchdown.
"We saw the vortex turning, then saw it drop....we followed it north and that's when I said it's heading towards my house," says resident Jan Olson. The tornado took out her barn and uprooted trees in her yard.
On the bluffsides near County C, there are a lot of downed trees, and the roof of a barn was picked up and thrown down the side of the hill. At least one home was evacuated because of a leaking LP tank, but the residents were allowed back in their home by Tuesday morning.
Sheriff Moran says there have been no reported injuries in Crawford County.
