MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty plan to make an announcement Friday in Hudson.
Doyle's office says he and Pawlenty will tour the St. Croix (KROY) River via boat and announce a cooperative agreement to clean up and maintain the river.
In January the two governors announced a joint effort between the states to consolidate and share resources in order to save money.
The news conference is the culmination of 3 days worth of stops Doyle has made in western Wisconsin along the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers.
Also on Friday Doyle planned to visit the Crystal Ball organic dairy farm in Osceola (os-ee-OH'-lah) and Interstate State Park in St. Croix Falls.
